It's always nice to do something exciting once in awhile to stimulate myself after a period of uneventful life. This time I chose to join the tourist group to visit Whistler. Since my brother hadn't done any outdoor activities for some time, I dragged him along with me. I would never join a tourist group if I have other means of transportation. I like taking time to enjoy the food, observing people, and savoring the view. When following a tourist group, that means I have to follow their schedule, and most of the time, time is being compressed so that we can get back on time or whatever other reasons might be.
It took us about 3 hours to get there. At the halfway through, we stopped at Alice Lake Park. It was meant for us to take a break after 1.5 hours of traveling and mainly gave us a chance to use the washroom. We were told that the girls' washroom was on service, so we had to use the other washroom not far from that one. The thing was the one that was being cleaned has multiple stalls, but the later one only get one. A lot of people started to complain how inconvenient it was, and some people even blamed the cleaning lady for that! I didn't say anything at the time, but I think all the complaining and blaming weren't necessary. She wouldn't clean faster just because you have those negative comments behind her back, would she? On the other hand, we should be thankful that the park let us use the washroom, and they care about the washroom hygiene.
We were outside for about 10 hours, and we spent 6 hours on the sightseeing bus. I'm not surprised that my brother felt bored, but perhaps it's all about the mindset. If you think it's going to be exciting and interesting, then your mind would probably buy it. I actually enjoyed today's trip because I know if I didn't go, my day would just went by without nothing much happening. But because I went to Whistler today, I carried away something memorable. I know today did not go blank. : )
